This course must be taken by SCPS students during the last semester prior to graduation.
Students will collaborate with a community organization of their choosing to design and execute a capstone project that fulfills the University Engaged Learning requirement. This includes completing at least 20 hours of civic engagement, all necessary Center for Engaged Learning, Teaching, and Scholarship (CELTS) documentation, and a capstone project report. Grounded in Ignatian pedagogy, the course emphasizes reflection, discernment, and action, guiding students through individual and group exercises to deepen their learning and refine their project. By integrating knowledge from their SCPS coursework, students will develop their capstone projects while preparing for life after graduation as Civic-Minded Professionals.
