Description
Prerequisites: Junior Standing, Minimum grade of "C-" in FINC 301 or FINC 332 or FINC 332H or FINC 334 or FINC 334H.

A study of the crucial role played by financial institutions. The course will be a blend of theory and analysis of the present institutional structure.

Outcomes: Students will demonstrate an understanding of the following: the important role of financial intermediaries, interest rate risks, credit risks, market risk, and also risk management through capital adequacy and hedging risk with financial derivatives.
