Description
The course studies representative selections from the pastoral and the picaresque novel, the short novel, and didactic works of the period (Gracián and Quevedo).

Outcomes: Students will understand how these authors expressed colliding sensibilities, and incorporated traditional themes-love, knowledge, deception, violence-through parody and satire.
