Prerequisites: LATN 101 and 102 or their equivalents.
This course focuses on the satires of Juvenal, set against the backdrop of Flavian Age Rome and the Roman Empire.
Outcomes: Students should be able to translate the satires with proficiency, and demonstrate knowledge in detail about the author and his satires, as well as deeper understanding and appreciation of the historical, social and intellectual contexts and influences pertaining to them
