Great Transitions in Vertebrate Evolution
Description
Special areas of study outside the usual curriculum, that vary each time the course is offered.

Outcomes: Students will master a unique topic in biology.
Class Notes
Throughout this course I will provide you will the ability to learn (1) the major radiations of vertebrates and their evolutionary relationships; 2) the general characteristics of their major organ systems; 3) the major evolutionary transitions in vertebrate history; and 4) how changes in ecology, life history, and anatomy change in concert during organismal evolution. This course will use traditional lecture, class-wide discussion, presentations, and field trips to local natural history institutions to accomplish these goals.
