Description
Prerequisite: SPAN 101.

This course builds on SPAN 101, and introduces students to new topics and grammatical structures.

Outcomes: Students will be able to produce sounds in Spanish more accurately, express appropriate reactions to ordinary situations, understand basic oral commands, read more complex texts, and write sentences in cohesive paragraphs.

Prerequisite: SPAN 101 or a score on the placement exam that places you into 102. All students in 102 must take the department placement exam prior to registration, except for students coming from 101 at Loyola or another University. This course builds on 101 and introduces students to new topics and grammatical structures. Outcome: You will be able to present information, concepts, and ideas to others, talk about topics including the home, food, a healthy diet, clothing, shopping, and fashion. You will also be able to discuss city/urban life, talk about art and culture, and demonstrate understanding of the many cultures that comprise the Spanish-speaking world. class is synchronous
