Description
This course focuses on the process and skills of pastoral counseling. Emphasis is on training in basic listening and influencing skills. Students practice selected strategies drawn from various approaches to counseling.

Prerequisite: IPS 501 (minimum grade of C+).

Outcomes: At the conclusion of this course, students will be expected to demonstrate mastery of two classes of core counseling skills (listening and influencing), which they will practice in small peer groups under the supervision of the instructors.
