Spanish II
Prerequisite: SPAN 101.
This course builds on SPAN 101, and introduces students to new topics and grammatical structures.
Outcomes: Students will be able to produce sounds in Spanish more accurately, express appropriate reactions to ordinary situations, understand basic oral commands, read more complex texts, and write sentences in cohesive paragraphs.

Prerequisite: SPAN 101 or one semester of College Spanish with a grade of C- or better. If you took any Spanish in the past, you must take a placement exam https://www.luc.edu/modernlang/exam.shtml. All students in 102 must take the placement exam prior to registration, except for students coming from 101 at Loyola or another university.
Course description: Taught in Spanish. This course builds on communicative skills learned in 101: listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing.
Outcomes: Students will be able to present information, concepts, and ideas to others, talk about topics including the home, food, a healthy diet, clothing, shopping, and fashion. They will also be able to talk about art and culture and demonstrate understanding of the many cultures that comprise the Spanish-speaking world.
