Expanding our awareness of the various systems of oppression and privilege that contribute to our self-awareness and self-concept as well as our perceptions of others (macro).

Social work students will understand the concepts of privilege, oppression and social justice in their work with all diverse populations.
Enrollment Requirements
Restricted to Graduate Social Work students.
Class Notes
This course explores diversity in a global environment characterized by color, ethnicity, culture, national origin, class, gender, age, religion, physical or mental ability, gender identity and sexuality. Students will effectively analyze and assess the cultural and institutional context of social justice issues.
